Note re wood: Some woods, including a few quite common ones such as ash and beech, have allergenic and/or carcinogenic dust. Check on the internet or with the reference book in the Makespace library if you're uncertain. Take precautions to minimise the exposure to the dust for both yourself and others in the vicinity; wear a mask when appropriate. MDF dust is also a carcinogen.
