A number of people seem to be fairly interested in these machines, so it will probably be useful to keep track of what state they are in and who intends to do what.

Sun Sparc 5

Looks complete, so it may work.

Needs -

  • PAT-ing
  • Turning on for basic check
  • Software installation


Sun Ultra 2

Missing RAM, Graphics card, Hard drive

Needs -

  • PAT-ing
  • Turning on for basic check
  • Parts sourcing as deemed necessary


Sun Peripherals still required -

  • Monitor (Simon Stirley donating)
  • External CD Drive (?)
  • External Drive cable (Jason from computer museum providing)
  • Keyboard and Mouse (Jason from computer museum providing)
