Summary
We have a T-962A reflow oven for soldering of surface mount PCBs.
Using the Reflow Oven

Training
YOU CAN ONLY USE THE REFLOW OVEN IF YOU HAVE BEEN TRAINED
and have been added to the Trained Users list by one of the Owners
To get trained on the reflow oven and be added to the qualified user list, you will need to arrange for a training session with one of the Reflow Oven Owners.
Health and Safety
Instructions
After completing safety checks press the button on the top of the Belkin Power Timer socket, this will turn on the power for 30 minutes.
After switching the machine on, you will be presented with the Main menu:
While the machine is switched on, it will maintain a preheated temperature of 50 degrees.
The main menu provides the following options:
- F1 About
- F2 Settings
- F3 Bake / Manual Mode (Sausage Roll Mode)
- F4 Select Profile
- Press S to start with current profile
F2 - Settings
These settings should not be changed. Press F2 and check to ensure the settings are as shown below
F4 - Select a Profile
You will be presented with a range of profiles which you can browse by pressing F1 and F2 and then S to select the profile. Ensure the profile is a good match for your application.
These are some of the profiles available:
Low temperature lead free profile
Standard lead free profile
Create custom profile profile
Once you have selected your profile, load your board(s) into the machine and press S to start the current profile. The entire process will take approx 8 minutes excluding additional cooling time.
Do not use F3 (Sausage Roll Mode) as there is a potential to cause damage to the machine, fire or harmful fumes as there is no timeout in this mode.

- Replaced masking tape with Kapton tape
- Improved earth connections
- Flashed new, improved firmware
Remaining:
- Adding a cold junction - parts ordered, waiting for delivery & fitting
- Adding an external serial/USB port
- Adding a MOSFET/transistor to control system fan
