Summary
A jigsaw is a tool used for cutting arbitrary curves, such as stencilled designs or other custom shapes, into a piece of wood, metal, or other material. It can be used in a more artistic fashion than other saws, which typically cut in straight lines only.

Sharp Object/material
* All cutting blades to be kept in their holders until they are required.
Slips, Trips and Falls
* Cables to be kept clear of user and obstructions to prevent anyone from tripping over it
Fire
* Equipment will be checked for defects before each use to minimise the risk of possible
electrical faults or fire.
* Carbon Dioxide extinguisher to be available for any electrical fires
Electric shock
* Power supply to be disconnected when changing blades.
* The equipment will be checked before each use to ensure that there are no
defects in the cable, casing, plug or cutting head.
* The power cable will be kept clear of the moving parts at all times.
Sight/Noise/Dust/Vibration
* Goggles, ear defenders and dust mask to be worn when using the equipment.
* Regular brakes to prevent fingers becoming numb
Repetitive Action/Physical Fatigue
* Regular breaks if work is lasting more than 5 minutes in duration

To use the jigsaw, you must have been trained and have had your name added to the trained user list;
these instructions are not a substitute for this training.

It is important to use the correct blade when making a cut. DO NOT use metal blades when cutting wood and vice versa.
The jigsaw uses 'T' type standard bayonet fitting blades.
Maximum cut depths:
Metal (mild steel): 10mm
Wood: 135mm
Tips & Tricks
Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents. Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock. Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a moving part of the power tool may result in personal injury. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery Avoid cutting nails. Inspect work piece for any nails and remove them before operation.
Tips for maintaining maximum battery life
1. Charge the battery cartridge before completely discharging.
2. Always stop tool operation and charge the battery cartridge when you notice less tool power.
3. Never recharge a fully charged battery cartridge. Overcharging shortens the battery service life.
4. Let a hot battery cartridge cool down before charging it.
Maintenance
Every Month inspect for damage and general wear and tear and asses state of stock blades and replace as needed. Every six months the carbon motor brushes should be inspected for wear, and replaced as necessary.
