Space Floorplan

A high level floorplan, allocating and naming the different type of spaces we want to provide.

The Reception

• G25 OFFICE, with added access from corridor
• Main entrance to makespace
• Acts as reception, place to sign in
• Space to serve coffees, hold people etc
• Notice boards, events

The Kitchen

• G26 OFFICE, with addition of sink/running water/drain
• Access from The Reception
• Sink, water, kettle
• Coffee machine, drinks machine
• Cups, etc
• Whiteboard, kitchen hangout

The Space

• G24 ROBOTICS LAB
• Highly flexible space
• Chairs, bean bags, desks, etc
• Different areas, craft tools
• The main place to hang out, work, party?
• How make it feel good in normal usage?

The Workshop

• G21 WORKSHOP
• Fablab machine workshop; shopbot, laser cutter, etc
• Tools, vices, soldering stations, etc
• Materials, components, metals, woods etc
• Use G21A as additional large materials store or spray room etc

The Classroom

• G22 LECTURE ROOM, with added door off main space
• Setup with projector, sound system, appropriate lighting
• Lots of chairs
• Tables around side which could be used for worked labs

The Study

• G27 OFFICE, convert window to door from main space
• Quiet
• Bookshelves/library
• Tables/chairs, power, appropriate lighting for laptops/reading/working

The Store

• G28 MEETING ROOM
• Lots of shelves, lockers
• Store all supplies
• General storage
• Member personal store
